One of the major measures of success within Dressage is the competition at
the various shows. There are many levels by which horse and rider can
compete. They can participate in USEF/USDF recognized shows as well as local
schooling shows.
Part of the competition is to see if the horse and rider team can receive scores
verifying successful training and place in the top positions of their level at a show and
receive an appropriate ribbon for their efforts. These shows demonstrate the
respect held by the rider and horse for each
other.
