Susan Shiba

Born in Kansas; lived also in Virginia 1971-1977; Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from Kansas State University 1977-1981; Tulsa, Oklahoma 1981-1987; and Houston, Texas since 1987. See more detail.

Earned USDF Bronze and Silver medals on horses she owned and trained.

Has been training with Tom Noone since July 2002

Clinics with Volker Brommann and Janet Brown Foy on a regular basis.

Experience-

  • Started training her first pony at the age of 9
  • Rode and competed in Western disciplines through her high school years
  • After college graduation, she spent 10 years in Jumping competition
  • Began her Dressage career in 1991
  • Formed Roseate Dressage in May of 1999
  • Nominated for 2009 USDF Region 9 Teaching Excellence Award
  • Selected with Fer-De-Lance as a demonstration rider the 2009 USDF National Symposium with Jan Brink
